The main Aion forum wont let me post, so here I'll post.
Well I can honestly say after recent beta events I will be playing Aion when it comes out. Yes it's in "Beta", big deal...if they have the game as complete as I saw it on release it will still be okay by my books.

Here is my critical review of Aion.
Bad = 1~4
Good = 5~6.999999
Great = 7~9.999999
Perfect? = 10

Sound- 9.2
When you have seamless fighting to normal play integration of sound. Critical hits that sound like they hurt and some bass that can shake my desk. You have done great, the only thing I hated was the voice effects at times. Men shouldn't scream like that. Women sound like they are (Fill in the blank) when they get hit.

Game play- 8.7
Seamless, only draw back was the crafting system got insane on mat cost, and the items sell prices never was worth it. Its good you can multi craft like make your own stuff, but it gets way too pricey. The vendors need more stuff, and you can buy Emotes.....and there are mild hints of a wedding system they will add later with the proposal emotes and dresses I found. Also there was a bar/pub where you buy the emotes and there was a cage for women/dancers in the room beside it and a gang plus some smugglers and hidden doors and dungeons near that. Seems to me the cities will be more than a quest and item hub now. There are books in libraries that explain the storyline and a secret dungeon I suspect in it, some books dont have titles or even open.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 - 1792MB - SLI Mode (Dual Cards)
Fps = 44+
(FULL effects on)

If my 8 year old system can take it it should get more points but my friends system had to down the graphics really low in towns. He was not very happy with that. The engine is not dual or quad-core optimized I think, but I could be wrong. It really hurt his system on performance though at max.

Auction House- 3
Needs more options and single stacking post, if I have 15 manastones and I want to sell them as singles it should post them like that or allow people to price them like in the private store where you can drag them instead of buy the whole stack.
The categories need to be more expansive like Lord of the Rings Online has.

Classes- 10
When you can play both an assassin and a ranger as one, or tank and then kill everything as a templar, summon a tank and then burn your enemy what more do you want? You can add skills from other classes, and then basically make your character like no other other out there unless they tracked every little thing you did. Thats freaky.

Appearance- 8
You can make your character look almost like anything you want the limits are endless in a way...I just don't feel like doing the math. I looked absolutely great before the server died for the event. I was really proud of myself, now I have to get it all again and that bites.

PvP- 9.3
You can fly, gank, kill, and then repeat quickly and with the system in place to multi-class some items you can defend against most attacks and escape then kill again. Its really diverse, but I didn't PvP a lot or I would epxlain the Abyss better.

Party System- 7.1
You cant "track" your teammates really easily unless you pull up the giant map. It gets hard when in a big fight to say "he needs help". The assist system though helps out, but not so easily while flying.

Monsters- 6
They felt like GW EOTN expansion, different at times but similar and reused models. It can get boring in certain spots to kill the same boor with a new name.

Bugs- 3
Constant disconnecting when servers up, characters bumping into tiny rocks, fences stopping my jumps when I can fly over them. Hope they fix the collision issue ASAP while flying.

Server reliability- 7.3
It disconnected too much and lagged way too much to get above an 8, then the stupid jumping 20 feet per more got annoying. I was on my friends and same thing happened.

Story-9
It felt generic, but the books in the library really helped explain it with the fact that ALL governments show corruption on all levels too makes it interesting. It kind of give me this weird idea on what one of them said about Humans and Asmodians being the same. Wouldn't that mean some got curious and inter-breed? Rebels against both? Smugglers? A hidden faction of half-breeds? Hummmm, guess we will find out.

Cost- 7
14$+ a month..........hummm............I think its worth it if you enjoy the game after level 20 and want to keep going. If your bored easy by easy targets while at level 10 and decide to quit when the game launches you really made a mistake I think.

Overall- 8.4
Play it, trial it, try it......if you like it play it more. It's not going to be a "WoW" killer for now, maybe if they lower the cost of monthly and add more stuff in it for cosmetics and in essence make the game feel like you are a part of it just a bit more. It can improve and in hope become something even Blizzard can't deny. I'm sure though, sooner or later WoW will have to stop, but they would make a new one by then I bet. Reminds me of EQ and EQ2, everyone wan'ted EQ dead then pop there is EQ2.

I wont play aion for some reasons. 1st, cause i already play other monthly games and im not in the mood of spending more 15 bucks a month. i could change my mind after trying, but considering you have to pre order before trying, i wont try. actually, this "try-me-out-but-buy-me-first" thing pissed me off. i felt like being scammed by anet, specially when they sent me a beautyful email inviting me to try out the beta for only 80 bucks. f*ck this, wow had an open beta (2 actually).

another reason is that i believe aion will be a korean-like grinding game. it rly doesnt seem to bring nothing new, xcept for cool graphics. anyways, as i cant try the game, i wont play it. will stick to GW and WoW and maybe LotRO.

I plan on playing Aion.

It's mostly because it's going to be a new MMO (that actually took some effort) and other MMOs are starting to feel old.

The 'pre-order = beta access' was only if you wanted to play in the closed beta. The weekend just gone was CB6, the last of the closed beta weekends. Open betas will be run before the game launches on September 22nd.

I...can't wait! I will be playing. I've spent most of my Guild Wars time last week on Aion (looking for info, videos, beta), & when I went back to GW this morning, it took me some time to get used to the graphic again ^^

Anyway, already preordered both the CE & SE

Well as i have just played from 2/6

you cannot give a true example as for one thing the beta was played on 1.2 and the final release will be 1.5

A lot of new quests wil be added accross the board .

A slayers system is being looked at re the Ganking/pking from lev 23 and upwards.to lighten the fears of guys who do more pve than pvp.

Although I have pre paid my subs to Dec.This will give myself a little feel of the Full game not the Beta

Unfortnatly in beta the Lagg on last day for myself was BAD but its beta and you accept this re stress tests on servers ect.

S o the only people who can comment are ones who have played in Kr on 1.5

But I enjoyed my time on it so far although not the full release version
